Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an upcoming hack and slash action video game being developed by Platinum Games and produced by Kojima Productions. It is an installment in Metal Gear series. The game is set to be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 throughout early 2013.

The game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will feature an entirely new game engine, “Platinum Engine”. Its Microsoft Windows version was rumored to have been cancelled. There was a switch in Production Company during its development cycle, “Hideo Kojima decided to hand the production of the game over to Platinum Games who overhauled the entire game.”

Unlike its previous games in series Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is exactingly an action game, focusing on Sword combating and a classy cutting system. As the game feature a classy cutting system, this allows the player to engage in third person melee combat. Its cutting system, free slicing mode, titled Blade mode gives a special gaming experience to the player, allowing the player to cut down any object including  and vehicles, giving players the opportunity to precisely slash targets throughout the moments of actions, hitting maximum times a falling object through multiple angles before it hits the ground.

The main character Raiden, who has now been contracted by Private Military and Security Company for military training, VIP protection, and other duties. Raiden retrieving back after a bloody civil war, suddenly the country is overrun by cybrogs, Raiden is forced to get himself back to battle again.

Producer Yuji Korekado from Kojima Productions recently stated that “Kojima Productions and developer Platinum Games will release post-launch DLC content for Revengeance that “will allow you to play maybe as a different character or some new missions.”
